Should all hair salons offer the ‘Quiet Chair?’
Updated | By Zaba
A salon in South Wales offers the 'Quiet Chair' service for people who hate small talk. Do you think ALL salons should have a quiet chair?
I visit the salon often, and sometimes all I want is some peace and quiet and to not talk.
My hairstylist, Amanda, knows how to read me so well that now she knows my quiet days and my “I want to talk” days.
But sometimes you get a newbie to do your hair, and all they want to do is babble and go on and on and on.
Enter : The Quiet Chair.
The quiet chair sounds like punishment. Almost like the naughty corner or the time out zone. But if you’re an avid salon goer, like me, the quiet chair is something we all need.
A salon owner by the name of Scott Miller from South Wales has started the quiet chair in his salon.
How it works is that if you want some solace while you get your hair done, you go sit in it and the stylist knows to not disturb you.
I think this is a great idea, especially if you’re new to the salon, or don’t want to seem rude and impolite.
Tag a salon owner; get them to put a quiet chair in their salon!
