Shocking footage: Man gropes woman on public transport
Updated | By Zaba
What would
you do if you saw someone getting groped on public transport? This social
experiment set out to find exactly that.
Recently, while I was in one of Durban’s most popular malls, I witnessed one of the most horrific scenes ever.
A young couple was having an argument (I don’t know what the argument was about) and the boyfriend grabbed the girlfriend by her hair and pulled her out the store.
Me, being the loud mouth that I am, ran after the couple and screamed at the boyfriend to let go of her.
Thankfully, I wasn’t alone because the majority of people who had witnessed the incident also went to stand up for the young girl and the security got involved.
Eventually, we managed to get a hold of the young girl’s mother who came to fetch her and assured us that she would be safe.
In retrospect, I am happy that people didn’t just turn a blind eye but instead got involved and stopped what could have potentially been a very bad situation.
I came across this video of a social experiment that was conducted on the subway in the States, where a man gropes a woman in public. I love how so many men stand up for the lady.
So, if you were in a situation where you witnessed someone being ill-treated, do you stand up for the other person, or do you just let things be and not get involved?
