Sexist man tells TV anchor to come to work in her underwear
Updated | By Damon Beard
A news anchor was told by a man during her show that she should try coming to work in her underwear if she wants to be considered equal to men. Her response is just brilliant!
Being a news anchor and hosting a panel must come with its stresses, especially when you're trying to let everyone have their say and give their opinion.
However, having an opinion doesn't mean we have to agree with it!
Faye D’Souza, the editor of a news channel in India, was hosting a debate about how women dress in the country.

The panelists were discussing actresses Priyanka Chopra, who was questioned for wearing a dress to meet PM Narendra Modi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who faced abuse for wearing a swimsuit during Ramadan.
While many on the panel condemned the bad press the actresses received, one guest firmly agreed with those dishing out the abuse.
And to make his point, he told host Faye D’Souza that if she wanted to be treated as an equal with men, she should try turning up to work in her underwear.
What happened next silenced this man. Faya D'Souza handled the situation superbly.
I think the fundamental thing here is the word "respect".

I believe it's good to have a difference in opinion, but if we say how we feel with respect, it goes a long way.
This video really got me thinking about women and men in the workplace.
We're living in a time where women are finally starting to be seen as equals, but this type of behaviour goes a long way in undermining the progress we have made as a society. Shameful.
I asked what your experiences had been. Interestingly, only women listeners responded. And some of them are gatvol. Take a listen.
