'Robert Mugabe should live out the rest of his days in South Africa'

In the wake of the Zimbabwean transformation process, the big question has been - where will Robert Mugabe go? The EFF thinks South Africa is the place for him.

As the Robert Mugabe coup unfolds, combined with the fact that the army and his people no longer want him in their country - the big question has been, where will he and his wife Grace go?

Due to his relations with South Africa, we were at the top of the list, but not to the delight of many South Africans and the legal system. Not forgetting that his wife, Grace, currently has a pending criminal case against her.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) say Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe should be released by the army and be granted permission to come to South Africa and spend his retirement here.

In the meantime, The Democratic Alliance has rejected the granting of political asylum to Mugabe, saying that granting him political asylum would be a violation of South African judicial system. They've also called for President Jacob Zuma to make a public statement rejecting such an outcome.
According to Eyewitness News, The EFF said that no court of law in the world has ever found Mugabe guilty of human rights violations.

Let's look at this way, as a country, we are well placed to host him because of our leadership role in the SADC. Both his sons reside in South Africa, so perhaps that should also play a part in giving him refugee status?
