Listen to Damon reacting to the man who got mauled by a bear and KZN sharing their near-death experiences in the podcast then read more below:
I came across this article about a horrifying incident a man experienced in Thailand when he was mauled by a bear after dangling rice in front of the dangerous animal. I get that he wanted to feed the bear and get up close and personal, but one needs to keep in mind that this is a wild animal, not a pet.

Ok, so credit where credit is due, the man was visiting a temple in Thailand where monks keep a number of bears in a small enclosure which they care for and guests are allowed to feed them. Feed them maybe, but not tease them by dangling food in front of them. Imagine if you were hungry and someone did the same?
Seems as though it was way too tempting for the bear because it stood up and grabbed the man, dragging him into the enclosure with onlookers watching.
Thankfully the man’s friends eventually distracted the enraged creature with a stick and jumped into the pit to free him from the bear's grip.

The man is now in hospital and managed to survive the horrifying ordeal. When you watch the footage, it really is a miracle that he managed to survive. I can't begin to imagine the horror and terror he must have been through while this was happening?

This guy came really close to death and thankfully he made it out alive and received treatment for his injuries. Have you ever had a near-death experience? What happened and how did you walk away from it?
