Listen to the audio clip that's dividing the internet

Yanny or Laurel? That's the question that's on everyone's mind after hearing this clip. Damon needs your help to figure this one out.

I’m pretty sure a considerable amount of us saw a picture that recently did the rounds on Facebook. It was a shoe that was either pink and white, or grey and green. Where everyone else saw pink and white, I saw grey and green.

Then, of course, who can ever forget the dress debate back in 2015. I swear I saw white and gold. I remember the number of fights that broke out over that.

Now to frustrate me even more, there’s an audio clip of two seemingly unrelated words that has got the internet in a frenzy.

According to IOL, an 18-year-old recorded the audio from a vocabulary website that he used for a school project. He wasn't too sure what it sounds like, so he played it for his peers.

Once it posted to social media, many picked up on the debate and like all things on social media, this has gone viral. Social media influencer Cloe Feldman posted it on her Twitter with the caption, 'What do you hear?! Yanny or Laurel'. It has been retweeted over 176,000 times since.

They don’t even sound the same, but where half the internet is saying they hear Yanny, the other half are saying they hear Laurel.

According to one theory, what you hear depends on the amount of bass that’s being produced by the device you’re listening on.

Either way, I'm convinced that it sounds like Yanny, and I'm sticking to my answer.
