Let's take you back to Valentine's Day 2018.
Damon Beard received a special Big Favour request, and since it was Valentine's Day, he decided that this particular request was the right time for the favour to happen.
Steven, a young man from Durban, wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Sarah, live on-air. He had everything planned to the T. He scripted his lines and he was ready.
But Sarah wasn't and the ultimate romantic phone call took a turn for the worse and had everyone, Damon included, feeling heartbroken for poor old Steven.

We caught up with Steven a few months ago and he said that Sarah and him were still dating, and she revealed that his question took her by surprise, hence she reacted the way she did. He did not mention whether he had plans to propose to her again.
Sarah was unavailable for comment at the time this article was published.
Sometimes not everything goes according to plan. Poor Steven learned this the hard way.
