I am always amazed at the number of people there are in the world who have extraordinary stories to share. When Zama, my producer, told me about this particular story, I knew that I had to get an interview with this phenomenal human being.

According to Essence, Marsha was born with proximal femoral focal deficiency (PFFD), a rare birth defect which affected her upper thigh. She is now an above-the-knee amputee.
Instead of allowing this to stop her from living her life, she turned things around and turned to music, and her Instagram account to showcase her talent.

Not only is she a model who owns her look together with her prosthetic leg, but she has also gone on to release music. Her first song, 'Hallelujah', was recorded and released at the tender age of 17.
"In a world where public image is everything, I had my doubts. God used music to save my life. It kept me in my right mind; God said 'if you are willing, I will use you, your gift will not go to waste," she says on her website.
Her photos on Instagram have inspired many, with the likes of actress Jada Pinkett Smith reposting her picture with the caption, "Beauty🌼 @marshaellemusic".
Thank you, Marsha, for being such an inspiration, and for touching many hearts around the globe.
