Damon takes inspiration from dancing homeless man

This morning on my way to work, I stopped to get a coffee.

It was 6am, and although I usually take note of what's going on around me, this morning, I somehow noticed a lot more than usual.

There was a guy speeding to get to work. I wondered how he'd stop if someone stepped into the road in front of him? I wondered where he was racing to so early?

It was 6am and I saw a board meeting going on in a building across the road with someone waving his hands frantically.

What time had they started the meeting and what could be so important that they were there so early?

There was a car broken down and it was about to be towed away. The driver was on her cellphone pacing up and down, obviously trying to re-arrange her day.

A mom and her child were running - clearly to get a taxi to get the child to school on time.

Then...

I saw a man dancing.

Homeless, three plastic bags next to him, broken shoes, and torn clothes.

The coffee shop next to where I was sitting hadn't opened yet but they had their music on loud - and this guy was having the time of his life.

I bought him a coffee and had a chat to him.

Now it's my mission to get him some clothes and new shoes.

Funny how we all have our own stresses in life and how we handle things, but imagine the stress this guy must have? No shelter, no money, no job, broken shoes, and torn clothes...

But he can still laugh and dance.

I love that.
