There's an unusual friendship that has a lot of people astounded.
A 500-pound male lion and an eight-year-old Dachshund have been inseparable for the past five years.
The gigantic beast was born with a bone disease that left him mildly crippled, so when the little dog sensed that the lion was disabled, he seemed to comfort and protect him.

Now the massive lion and his canine buddy cuddle, feast on raw meat, and play in the grounds together.
