Wouldn't this just make life so much easier?
There are those things that we just have to get done but we do not look forward to doing. On that list has got to be queuing to get your driver's licence or vehicle licence renewed.

The backlog of almost 400,000 licence cards is due to a defective printing machine. This has pushed the Department of Transport to come up with an alternative, a new card system that is set to be introduced.
The transport minister, Fikile Mbalula, tweeted about the ability to pay online as well as being able to get your driver's licence card delivered to your doorstep last week.

It's not surprising to us that the defective printing machine is outdated, as said so by the Minister himself. The good news is that the DOT plans on introducing the new card system and machine that is on par with the 'developed' world...
The interface of live enrolment units with home affairs has been completed. This will enable immediate validation of the fingerprints and address. We are working with HPCSA to enable Optometrist to upload eye tests on our systems,- Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula
