Woolies creates bougie 'orange sack' scourer for bathing

Do you still use an onion or orange sack to bathe?

We were brought up with several practices that not everyone carries with them into adulthood

Sometimes, people stray from things that used to be the standard because they remind them of a time they would rather forget. But skincare habits that have worked for decades aren't something to stray from (in our opinion).

A common practice in many South African Indian households is repurposing a used onion or orange sack into a bath scourer. This cost-effective way of cleansing one's body has been around for decades and is something most people can laugh about.

We came across this video a while ago and thought it was funny. Not because of the 'sack' scourer itself, but because so many people still use it regardless of where they are.

In South Africa, we can trust brands to listen to communities and create products that fit the culture.

It seems that Woolworths was listening, and therefore, it is no surprise that they have a 'bougie' version of a sack scourer in their stores that they call an 'Exfoliating Body Cloth'.
