A Wimpy employee sings in a video and it goes viral - her talent leads her to an opportunity with DJ Tira.
Fezile Zulu, an employee at Wimpy, is recorded singing in a video and the internet starts screaming in excitement with her melodic tunes!
In the video, Fezile is seen dressed as a bottle recycler as she was preparing for an audition and her friend asks her to sing (could this have been the moment that everything changed for her?).
Fezile said that in the initial video, she wanted to highlight that people who have jobs that are construed as unskilled are talented. She works as a dishwasher in Wimpy and after listening to her captivating voice, even DJ Tira agreed that she is anything but unskilled.
She doesn't know how DJ Tira got a hold of the video but is excited about meeting him and hopeful that she can change her family's situation. Fezile spoke to News24 about how her family does odd jobs here and there and she would be so grateful if she could help change their lives. It truly leaves us with goosebumps as this 'rags to riches' tale comes to life in our very own Mzansi.
Fezile spoke about her time in the studio and how it wasn't easy, but it left her feeling rewarded.
As for the man who gave her this break, DJ Tira said that he chose to work with Fezile because "she has effortless talent and it is crucial that people who are already in the spotlight, like himself, do what they can to find and nurture raw talent".
