This is what we call panic at the dinner table...

The stereotypical idea that mothers-in-law and wives are always at loggerheads with one another is somewhat old, but very much true in most cases.
We live in a society where some mothers are overbearing with their sons. Sometimes to the point of no return.
Where mothers are unable to cut the chord and this ends up causing friction between them and their son's wife.
The competition between some wives and mothers-in-law can get pretty petty.
Especially when husbands/sons are left on the fence with having to please both mum and wife.
For this husband, it was about food. Food that was specially and lovingly prepared by mommy dearest.
This couple, an American wife and Italian husband, leave us laughing out loud when she asks him whose cooking is better...
He says it best when he stops eating and starts professing his love for her. Completely evading her question.
And we have to say, it was the most endearing yet unconscionable response.
