What do you get for dad this Father's Day? We've got some gift ideas for you...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We love celebrating dad and as much as that's the truth, it's not easy when it comes to finding the perfect gift for him...
When it comes to finding the perfect gift for anyone, it can be tricky, but it can be even more tricky when it comes to dads. But we would like to think that over the years, there has been some changes and updates to the retail script when it comes to choosing gifts for dad.
So Father's Day isn't as daunting because there are more options for dad. You would think that would make things easier, but it somehow doesn't for many children.
Traditionally, dads are super practical, well, for the most part. So when you are choosing what to get for them, think about the following things:
1. Will they enjoy using it, or will it collect dust in their wardrobes?
2. Think about what they enjoy doing, whether that is fishing, watching TV, doing crossword puzzles, enjoying an alcoholic beverage now and then, or enjoy sports...These should be your first steps when choosing a gift.
An example would be if he enjoys coffee, then you could get him a coffee grinder or cash out on a quality brand coffee bean selection so he feels spoilt. Maybe also think about doing something for your father, to make an experience of it, so whether that's taking him to a coffee factory or getting him a lesson on how to be a barista...Think outside the box...

3. Is dad an extrovert or introvert? Think about that if you are planning something with the family, sometimes fathers just appreciate some alone time or doing something low-key, it depends fully on what type of personality your dad has.
So for the dad that loves to watch TV, think about a soundbar or perhaps a subscription to Netflix or Showmax or up his DSTV package. If dad enjoys horse betting or gambling, then get him a Hollywoods Bets account and credit it with some funds...
Whatever you decide to go with, remember that we understand that times are difficult and that just taking time to spend with family (safely) can be the best gift...
And to those that don't have their dads around anymore, do something kind for someone, it will be more rewarding than you could even imagine.
Happy Father's Day to all the amazing fathers out there...
