A week of surprises for mothers all around KZN
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Mother's Day should be a day where mothers share what they want and not what we think they want.
This year, Carol Ofori and Executive Producer Rory Petzer aka the 'Elf' decided to do things differently for Mother's Day.
Instead of gifting moms in KZN with vouchers that they thought they wanted, they did some leg work and sourced gifts that were much-needed.
From makeovers to a DEFY washing machine, the team went out of their way to make six moms feel special this Mother's Day.
The truth is not every mother wants a box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers, some mothers want a personal treat or something for their home that can help their families.
Take a listen to the prize giveaways and how the mothers - Zelda, Shay, Celest, Alweera, Shereen, and Jenny - were pleasantly surprised by Carol Ofori and the 'Elf'.
On Tuesday (07 May 2024), Zelda received a Mother’s Day Restore package from La Vita Spa.
On Thursday (09 May 2024) Shay received a R2,500 Mozambik voucher.
On Friday (10 May 2024), Celest was surprised with an R2,500 Mozambik voucher; Alweera received a R1,000 voucher for Skulpt Aesthetics and Beauty in PMB, Shereen received a R9,000 make-over including products from Caroline Michaels of Innovation Hair Company and a Grimaldi's voucher to the value of R1,000, and Jenny received a DEFY washing machine worth R7,999.

In case you were wondering how Carol Ofori and the 'Elf' were able to learn what exactly each of these moms wanted, well, they did a call-out two weeks before Mother's Day and asked moms what they wanted for Mother’s Day.
After listening to some of the requests, the 'Elf' went on his mission and came back with some amazing goodies.
Shereen's gift was super special. As a mother of five she shared that she just wanted to feel herself again. So, Caroline Michael, a world-renowned hairstylist and three-time multi-national award winner, who also styles Stacey Norman's hair, agreed to do a hair makeover for Shereen.
Not only has Caroline Michael studied both nationally and internationally, but she is also the owner of Innovation Hair Company and Impero Hair, located on 65 St Andrews Drive, Durban North.
A hair makeover inclusive of a bespoke colour, fibre fix treatment, wash, cut, and style, and an amazing hair care package all to the value of R8572.00
Product hamper to take home includes:

- Fanola Hairspray
