WCW: Owner of Silomo's Boutique is our crush this week
Updated | By East Coast Radio/ Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
What a time to be alive, with great threads and successfully thriving businesses...
Each week, Carol Ofori celebrates a woman who is crushworthy. A woman who is doing her best to make her mark in this life and is generally a trailblazer in her field.
This week, she decided to feature a woman we all feel like we know personally.
Silomo Ntombela, the owner and founder of Silomo's Boutique, isn't only a great fashion designer and stylist, but also a thriving businesswoman.
We all know her as one of Carol Ofori's favourite designers in the 031, but she was also the saving grace for our young matriculant who didn't have a dress for her matric dance, Shaylene.
Silomo's Boutique was launched in 2011 after working for an amazing Durban designer at the Space.
We asked Silomo about some of her career highlights and this is what she said:
"We’ve had great pleasure in working and styling the TV show 'uZalo', styled our first magazine cover with legendary Leleti Khumalo, and being invited to a convention in London amongst other amazing highlights. We also stock Edgar’s Sandton and Menlyn."

In addition, she has opened up five stores along the way and is currently a co-owner of The Fifth 031 at Glenwood Village Centre.
She also has some exciting news that involves our Daytime Diva, Carol Ofori. Silomo shared that she would be hosting her fashion show next week on the opening night of the Durban Fashion Fair at ICC.
And get this, Carol Ofori will be walking the catwalk at the show. It's a Spring/Summer show that will showcase the latest Summer trends.
