#WCW: "If you have a passion for something, you must pursue it..."
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Keira King is our woman crush this Wednesday...
Today we celebrate a young woman who is just 15 years of age and is already moving oceans.
Keira King recently shared her story online about doing the 7.5km Robben Island swim for the Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation.
We wanted to hear more about what inspired her to commit to this.
Keira has loved the ocean from a young age and she also loves all swimming and life saving.
So her natural progression to pair her passions to help save these innocent sea creatures was only normal.
She speaks so passionately about protecting the ocean and all the life inside, and we cannot help but realise that sometimes it just takes one person to remind us that we are all connected.
She's not the first and definitely won't be the last teenager trying to make a difference. But her words ring true of a generation that is trying to pick up the pieces of the world's failings.
A sad but true reality.
Our efforts as much as they are present need to be more vigorous and young women like Keira are the ones driving these messages with their spirit and vigour.
