#WCW: "I was privileged to grow up in a home that had value on education and reading"

From engineering and the built environment to publishing...
This week, Carol Ofori decided to celebrate a woman that has been named as one of Mail and Guardian's Top 200 Young Africans.
Her name, Dawn Shabangu-Rikhotso. But that's not all she is, she is also the Chief Executive Officer of Lingua Franca Publishers, Deputy Chairperson of the African Publishers Association, and the Co-Founder of the Women of Note Empowerment NPO.
"Your purpose will definitely find its way to you..." is just one of the most profound things that this bright and empowered black woman said in her interview with Carol Ofori.
And that in itself just leaves us with chills...
When we find people who are inspired and who thrive on inspiring others, it is difficult not to feel inspired.
Her father's vision of creating a platform for writers to share their rich stories from Africa was not one initially shared as a vocation by Dawn, but she found her way back to her late father's dream...
“My goal is to ensure that every African child sees themselves represented in books that are displayed with pride in commercial bookstores.”
