In the service industry, there are many, many, many things that one has to deal with when it comes to customers. And that age-old custom or practice that says, the customer is always right, well, let's just say, whoever came up with that, didn't work as a server in any industry.

From dealing with complaints, to serving overly intoxicated people, the list is literally endless. One of the things that we remember from the service industry was being charged for every piece of crockery or utensil that was unaccounted for at the end of the shift.

After watching this video, it really took us back to those days and sparked a conversation about people who just take things when they visit a restaurant, a bar or a hotel.

The video shows a woman with a fancy cocktail glass and then proceeds to say that she will be taking it home with her. It cuts to the bartender saying that the same glass is available on Amazon and can be purchased, and ends off by calling people who do this the 'A word'.

It's a two-sided coin, because many times the people who take these items away at bars are under the influence, as opposed to those who are of a sound mind and still steal items from hotels and restaurants.

We have known many people who would steal towels, plates, knives, robes, and even pillows from places they have visited. Many of them believing that they are owed these items because they paid for the night.

The thing is that bartenders and service staff have to pay for the items that go missing during their shifts. And yet many people came to the comments section saying that this would not stop them from taking what is not theirs.

Many people came for the bartender saying that if it didn't come out of her pay then she wouldn't care. Others said that they would still do it, regardless.

All in all, it can definitely be classified as stealing. Have a think about it...

It reminds us of that scene from 'Friends' when Ross packs up everything from the hotel, even the batteries from the remote. Check it out below.
