WATCH: 'Trippin’ with the Kandasamys' is coming to Netflix!

Get ready for belly laughs and hashtag relatable family drama, as 'Trippin’ with the Kandasamys' makes its way to Netflix on the 4th of June 2021! And even better than that - Carol Ofori got to speak to Jailoshini Naidoo (Jennifer) and award-winning director, Jayan Moodley, about the announcement.
As a Durbanite and more so, a South African, we all love celebrating homegrown talent. We cheer our people on when they do exciting things, and when we get to be involved, it's even more exciting.
On Friday, Carol Ofori got to speak with award-winning director Jayan Moodley and fan favourite, Jailoshini Naidoo (who plays Jennifer) from the 'Keeping up with the Kandasamys' franchise.

The third insert of the franchise - 'Trippin' with the Kandasamys', is on its way to Netflix on the 4th of June 2021 and we are so excited about it that we literally couldn't stop ourselves from smiling while these two were with us in studio.

Jailoshini Naidoo shared that she has been asked on numerous occasions when the next movie is coming out and as the industry goes, she was not able to share any information with anyone, so she breathes a sigh of relief now that the movie is coming out so that she can speak about it.
She also told us that she is so excited to be sharing the news of the release with us. She loves that the movie highlighted Durban and KZN as a whole and mentioned that the movie is set predominantly in San Lameer, which is located on the south coast of Durban.
Jayan Moodley, the award-winning director, was so excited to talk about the movie with us and also mentioned that what better way to bring the family back than with a family holiday?

A sneak peek into the plot: The two besties have their own plans for this trip, specifically focusing on spicing up their marriages, but surprise, surprise, things don’t work out as they would’ve hoped (thanks Elvis and Preggy!) and an unexpected guest brings about turmoil and quick thinking on the women’s part.
