WATCH: TikToker peels banana before weighing to save on bill

Now this is something else when it comes to being a good saver...
We are all for saving tips and tricks when it comes to saving a rand or more.
But there are certain things that are acceptable and those that aren't.
Traditionally when it comes to frugal shoppers, we have seen a community that is somewhat unbothered by what others think of them and their means of saving.
Whether that involves clipping coupons or taking full advantage of a special, they are generally really focused on being thrifty and nothing else.
One shopper who has grabbed the attention of many people recently has taken it a tad far, in our opinion.
In a video shared by his girlfriend on TikTok, he is seen peeling his banana at the supermarket before weighing it.
After perusing through the comment section it seems we aren't the only ones who think this was crossing a supermarket boundary.

We delved into their account, it seems the couple, Mason and Mai are all about hacks, reviews and comedic content.
So, in essence, it made sense that they would opt for such an embarrassing hack when it comes to saving some cash. People were hilarious with their comments, check out some of them below.
Happy as a clown: "Break up with him and call the cops"
Gabriel: "That’s not frugal, that’s a Penny pincher"
:): "real frugal ppl weigh them without a bag"
