People living and visiting Africa must stay alert at all times because anything is possible in the wild.

Our country takes great pride in its abundant wildlife. The appeal lies in their uniqueness, drawing people to game reserves and conservation areas for a chance to see these majestic creatures up close.

However, it's always best to experience wild animals from a safe distance – they aren’t known for their patience, and they certainly don’t respond well to being "talked down to".

They act purely on instinct, making them unpredictable. While that might be fascinating to some, it’s far less thrilling when one is charging straight at you.

A video shared on the Arrive Alive Instagram page captures what appears to be the entrance area of a resort.

At first, there’s nothing unusual – a woman in kitchen scrubs walks past, and we brace for something motor-related, perhaps a car crashing through the entrance or a roof collapse. But instead, we witness something completely unexpected.

A person dressed in white suddenly runs through the doorway, closely followed by an angry buffalo.

The massive animal nearly knocks him over but with quick thinking, he weaves through the furniture and confuses the buffalo. The startled animal loses its footing, slipping and sliding across the floor.

African buffaloes are known for their unpredictable nature and tense interactions with humans.

According to Study.com, "African buffaloes are defensive and aggressive, making them dangerous animals to encounter in the wild."

Their unpredictable behaviour only heightens the risk, making any close encounter potentially life-threatening.
