WATCH: Man steals yield sign pole in broad daylight

Well, at least he yielded before taking the sign...

The things we witness daily can be downright questionable, but then social media enters the room and suddenly your wildest story feels validated.

It’s like seeing something bizarre unfold right before you, only for no one else to catch it. You retell the story, but their eyes always have that flicker of doubt because they didn’t see it themselves.

Imagine someone telling you they saw a guy steal a road sign in broad daylight. In a quiet, residential suburb.

If you’re not from South Africa, your jaw might drop.

But if you are South African, you’ve probably already shrugged. Because around here? That’s not shocking – it’s just another day.

A video doing the rounds on social media shows a man standing near a yield sign in what looks like a quiet residential area. At first, it seems like he’s just waiting to cross the road.

After a car passes, the man glances around as if checking the coast is clear.

What happens next? He casually yanks the road yield sign out of the ground.

Now, we know crime’s no laughing matter. But we couldn’t help but chuckle at the sheer audacity.

It’s not every day you see someone strolling down the street with a road sign slung over their shoulder like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

No hesitation. No yielding. Just a guy and his sign casually walking away.
