Just an act of kindness that turns into another interrogation session on Twitter...

When it comes to social media, the one certainty is that if you post something controversial - regardless of your intentions - there is a huge possibility that it may rub some people the wrong way.

But that's okay, it's clearly symbolic of the complicated society we live in. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what you do in your life, so best to stick it out, do what you want to do and hope for the best...

A video that was shared on Twitter, which sounds very much like the Bi Phakathi good deeds videos on Facebook, has people talking. The video shows a do-gooder ask a homeless man for money. 

The man who is begging gives the man his money and what happens next left users divided.

Many people find these types of videos disingenuous. Their reasoning being why video an act of kindness, true kindness should come without applause. But we think that the intentions behind Bi Phakathi is to inspire kindness in others. 

Sometimes we get so consumed by the trickery and potential scamming nature of some begging, that we forget that there are actual people out there who have been through a lot, and have been dealt a bad hand.

So when we saw this comment, it solidified the whole experience for many people on the post because it showed that these types of videos are meant to bring us back to basic humanity. 

Remember to be kind and remember to connect with others on a human level...
