WATCH: A great way to repurpose your recyclable shopping bags
Updated | By East Coast Radio
You know you have more than you need...
As much as we prefer to steer clear of purchasing plastic bags when we do our shopping, sometimes it is inevitable.
Unless of course the retailer doesn't keep plastic and has gone fully green...
We are not judging, because we get it, sometimes with the hustle and bustle of life, it is rarely possible to remember putting the reusable bags back into the car, so as to be prepared for that afternoon or morning shopping run.
But sometimes you do remember to put them back in the car but you end up buying something and it wasn't planned and so you are forced to buy yet another grocery bag.
Now there is no need to feel embarrassed about it, because surprisingly, many people can relate.
So much so that one guy decided to share a video on TikTok on how he reuses his reusable Woolies shopping bags.
He shared how he began using his Woolworths fabric bags to grow food.
Using these bags as a house to plant a tree is perfect, because the bags are sustainably sourced and safe for the environment. He goes on to say that plants thrive with fabric pots rather than plastic pots - so it's a winner all round!
His idea was received well by the masses, as his video got viewed over 194,000 times.
People even went on to say what a genius idea this was, and tagged Woolworths to sponsor him...
