WATCH: Footballer tricks us into believing she has been injured...

Now that's what we call an entertaining piece of football...

Watching football isn't just about admiring the sportswomanship, or the tricks and skill of each of the players.
It is also about the entertainment, the action, the team dynamics, and the way the players use the ground as their stage.
This was made very clear when one player recently used the ground as her platform to show off her celebration after scoring.
In a game between Kansas City and Angel City, Kansas City midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta decided to give the crowd something different.
LaBonta was so ecstatic after scoring a goal, but then she had everyone going for a moment when she ran away holding her hamstring with what looked like a look of pain on her face.
Then all of a sudden, she flipped the script and turned around to the cameras and the crowd...
And started twerking...
Yes, indeed, she took her time to trick everyone into believing that she was injured when in fact it was all a ruse.
As well as a lead up into her celebratory dance.
Her teammates ran behind her to check on her and when they saw her twerking, they all burst into laughter, embracing over their goal.

As we progress through a month of celebrating women, it is really exciting to see women in sport finding and owning their own space.
Especially in a sport that has previously been dominated by men. All we can say to her wonderfully thought-out skit is, 'you go girl!'
