WATCH: Did Stuart Hogg bite Springboks fullback Le Roux?
Stuart Hogg is captured on video allegedly biting Willie le Roux from the Springboks and we take a closer look...
If you are an avid sports fan, then you will probably still be on a high from the weekend win as the Springboks took their 27-9 victory over the Lions.
However, in true spectatorship nature, the burning question surfaced after a piece of footage from the match shows Lions Fullback, Stuart Hogg is seen in a arm/mouth hustle (that could very well be an awkward moment) and the question that was on everyone's lips was: Did Hogg just bite Le Roux?
We can't say that we agree or disagree with what has been suggested, however the footage does look shady, but as we said earlier, it could just be pegged as one of those moments when you share an awkward moment with someone.
You know, like when you go in for a hug but someone goes in for a handshake, and then you meet with a 'hand-hug' and intimate places get brushed...Of course, the way it looks, it seems like these two had a hand-bite moment and unfortunately it got caught on camera...
"Following speculation that has surfaced online, I would like to categorically deny any foul play in last night’s game,” Hogg said in a statement. “I would never bite an opponent and I am annoyed and upset by this unsubstantiated accusation. I’ve always been proud of playing rugby in the spirit of the game. Respect to the Springboks for their deserved win yesterday,” said Hogg. (Business Live)
Or maybe Hogg got a bit hungry and wanted a small nibble...Lol, or what if he just liked the way Le Roux smelt? Hmm now those sound more reasonable (not) than a biting affair.
