The past couple of days have left us feeling like we are living out a scene from a war movie. In a way to take our minds off that drama and sadness, as usual, we have chosen to find the good in everything. We have decided to share the beauty of Durban with you all. In some way we hope this will bring some light amidst the dark and get our week off to a good start.

We have notoriously been fans of the Kandasamys franchise, and with their recent release of the third movie on Netflix, we are excited to see something fun and engaging take to our streets. Carvin Goldstone, funnyman and Durbanite, takes two of our favourites out for a trip around Durban.

The ultimate connection happens when you bring people with that je nais se quoi together and they just knock it out of the park. 'Driving with the Kandasamys' takes a fresh approach to interviewing whilst also highlighting the beauty and uniqueness of our city.

Hosted by Carvin Goldstone, a Durbanite who is not unfamiliar with success, 'Driving with the Kandsamys' is a much needed comedic fix that we desperately needed during these tough times.

Goldstone has been "honoured with two South African Comedy Awards: Best Solo Act and the 2018 South African Comic of the Year, highest Award in South African Comedy at the Comics Choice Awards. And in 2019, Carvin was named by the  Sunday Times as a South African A lister with a feature on his unique rise to the top of South African comedy all without leaving Durban, something unheard of in South African entertainment." Now that's what we call true Durban talent...

Goldstone interviews two of our favourite on-screen ladies from 'Trippin' with the Kandasamys', Aya (Mariam Bassa) and Shanthi (Maeshni Naicker). These two are also not unfamiliar with success and make us truly grateful for being from a city that is filled with opportunity and talent. Also, they are awesome women crushes that we definitely dote on.

We will stop babbling now, because we don't need to share their accolades with you, their performances speak for themselves. Check out their interview slash foodie route and comedic entourage driving experience below...
