The patient was moved to tears by the gesture.
Undergoing chemotherapy is one of the most difficult medical processes a human being can go through. Despite the fact that the patient continues to feel groggy and ill, visual symptoms like hair loss make the process incredibly difficult. But, one barber made a grand gesture and moved a patient to tears when he shaved off his own hair mid-cut.
In a heart-warming video, a barber brought his friend
(and millions around the world who have viewed the video) to tears after
impulsively shaving his own hair in support.

Neftali Martín suffered hair loss as a side effect of chemotherapy to treat his lymphoma cancer. So, to get ahead of the hair loss, he went to get his hair shaved by friend Joel Ortega González at a barbershop in Alicante, Spain.
As luck would have it, Neftali is also a barber and set up a camera to capture the moment he said goodbye to his hair. What he never expected, however, was Joel to immediately shave off his blonde locks during the process in solidarity with his friend.
Overwhelmed by the love and support, Neftali starts tearing up at the beautiful gesture.
Sharing the video onto Instagram, Neftali gives a little more context to the video. "For those who do not know him @imjooeel is not just a co-worker, he is like a brother to me. I love you bro,” he says.

The Lords and Barbers shop, where the duo work, also shared the video adding, "We want to travel this path with you, together as we have always been. We want to show you what true friendship is, because we are all one. For the moments that we have passed and those that we have left to live. What the barbershop unites, let no one separate it."Naturally, viewers were overwhelmed by the support Joel gave Neftali. "Man did not even hesitate to take his own hair off,” one viewer commented on the video. Another added, "Not your barber anymore because that is your brother now."
