WATCH: Baby taken from mom's trolley at grocery store in Alberton
Updated | By East Coast Radio
The hairs on our neck are still standing...
Being a first time parent can be a huge learning curve for many people.
For someone who has been successful at taking care of themselves for most of their adult years, a baby enters and questions your capability.
Some might even agree that parenting is an ongoing journey and never really ends. Making mistakes is part of the package, if you don't make a mistake then you must be one perfect person... and we would like to wish you all the best.
But on a different tune, to those parents who can admit that they are privy to the real world, kidnapping is real and sadly on the rise.
A video that was recently shared on social media shows a mother shopping at a local grocery store in Alberton with her eight-month-old baby.
Her baby is sitting on the front part of the trolley and she is seen stopping in front a fridge. As she bends down to take something of the bottom shelf in the fridge, the unthinkable happens.

A man that looks like a staff member at the retail outlet approaches the trolley and takes the baby.
He is seen walking away with the child when the mother notices that her baby is missing and turns around to locate her baby.
She runs after him and grabs her baby back...
He is seen following her back to her trolley, but what was said is uncertain.
According to the report made by The South African, authorities have arrested the staff member in question.
