Visionary entrepreneur Isabeau du Preez chats with Carol Ofori
Updated | By East Coast Radio
"My passion for renewable energy led me to transition into the
solar industry. Despite initial setbacks, my resilience and determination drove
me to establish my own company." - Isabeau du Preez.
As a country, we are more invested now than ever in sourcing and understanding sustainability.
Over and above wanting to save our planet and be more conscious of our green footprint, we also want to find alternate sources to replenish the carbon-heavy lifestyle that we have become so used to.
Saving water, eating more plant-based foods, switching your lights off, and transitioning to alternate power sources like solar power are all things that can help, but how far do people go to play their part?
Today, Carol Ofori celebrates a woman who is a trailblazing visionary with a passion for renewable energy, Isabeau du Preez.
She began her professional journey as a teacher, but her passion for renewable energy led to her entrepreneurial chapter. Isabeau is the owner and founder of Dolphin Coast Solar Solutions.
She is the ultimate epitome of what it means to be an entrepreneur. People hear this term and think that the journey is already set for them, but Isabeau shares that despite her setbacks, her resilience, determination, and passion drove her to establish her company.
"Within just a year, my company was recognised and voted Best of Ballito Solar Installer in 2023. My influence and impact extended beyond the local community, earning the title of one of KZN's top businesswomen.
"My leadership and innovation in the energy sector were further acknowledged internationally when I was awarded Woman Leader in Power and Energy at the Global Women Leadership Awards in Dubai", said Isabeau.
Besides her entrepreneurial journey, Isabeau is an avid long-distance runner, enjoys the outdoors, and has been involved in motivational speaking. She loves inspiring others to fulfil their goals.
Her mantra, "Break the glass ceiling - it's worth it", encapsulates her commitment to shattering barriers and empowering others to reach their fullest potential. Sometimes it's essential to trust the process because, believe it or not, eventually, everything connects.
