Vegan dumps his girlfriend after she 'cheated' on him with chicken nuggets

A woman took to social media recently to share the story of how she was dumped by her vegan boyfriend after he thought she was cheating on him when, in fact, she snuck around to enjoy some chicken nuggets at her favourite fast food restaurant.

Sharing her story on Reddit, the woman explains that she and her boyfriend had been together for nearly three years and that her ex-boyfriend had been living a vegan lifestyle since he was 18.

"I honest to god have no idea what the f*** to do, I've been freaking out,” the woman said as she starts her story. She adds that when she moved in with the man, he asked her to try out veganism.

"Honestly, I was contemplating going vegan beforehand so I thought why not,” she goes on to say. "At first it was okay but f***ing hell, I was craving chicken McNuggets like there was no tomorrow. I would literally have dreams where I'm surrounded by chicken nuggets. I would watch Matt Stonie videos [a competitive eater from the US] and get SO jealous."

The woman explains that she didn’t want to hurt her boyfriend’s feelings, so she thought she would go enjoy some nuggets without telling him. "So at least twice a week I would sneak out the house and say I'm just going to the supermarket or running errands and then I'd go to McDonald's and eat a bunch of nuggets or a McChicken. I would then quickly go to the grocery store and buy random s*** we don't even need so he thinks I really was just at the supermarket.

Because of her many trips sneaking out to McDonald's, her boyfriend got suspicious and assumed that she was cheating on him. “I was doing this for months but my ex started getting suspicious and yesterday he blew up at me and accused me of cheating on him because of the amount of times I leave the house and refuse to let him come with me. He then broke up with me," she says.

After he dumped her, the woman came clean, but admits her boyfriend didn’t believe a word of it. He thinks I'm lying about going to McDonald's and he is convinced I'm just covering up that I'm sleeping with another guy.

So, she took to social media to ask for some advice. "How the f*** can I prove that I haven't been cheating? I never thought my relationship would end over something so stupid," she says.
