Happy Women's Day to all women out there.

Today is a day to be celebrated by all women, regardless of your background. Many, many women have fought for us to use our unique voices to inspire change, upliftment, and more.

So, today, we wanted to use that voice to share two stories of two Durbanite women. Their stories nicely align with East Coast Radio's Women's Month theme this year: "What is your dream?"

The first story shared on Expat South Africa's X page is that of Nozipho Zwane from Durban. She is from Hammarsdale and has been living in South Korea for six years, where she has been teaching.

Zwane's love for Asia began nine years ago, in 2015, when she was awarded an opportunity to study in Japan as a participant in the African Business Education Masters Programme. In the year 2017, she completed her master's in Internal Relations and returned home.

Sadly, her job prospects did not land, so she chose another route. A friend suggested teaching English abroad; they say the rest is history.

Nozipho shared the most inspirational words: "I believe that the world is our oyster, and opportunities are endless. If you put your mind into it, you should consider it already done."

The second story is from Jeanine Kaitlin Subramoney, a young woman from Durban who currently resides in Toulouse, France.

She is a Master's student in the Cancer, Ageing, and Rejuvenation School in Toulouse, France. Having had internships in France, USA, and Switzerland, Subramoney is enjoying life exploring the world.

She loves volunteer work and is passionate about teaching refugees English to bridge the gap between diversity and feeling included in a new environment. Jeanine also mentors African STEM students who are completing their bachelor's degrees in fields similar to hers.
