According to Ladbible, the 24-year-old man had been fishing when the incident occurred. The man managed to catch a fish; he then proceeded to place his line back in the water, and in a matter of a moments, a second fish bit his line.
Not wanting to lose the second fish, he proceeded to place the first one in his mouth (sushi, anyone?). As expected, the fish tried to get free but instead lodged itself in the man's throat.

He could not speak, so doctors and paramedics could not figure out why this man was suffocating. X-rays were conducted, and the 18cm fish was swiftly removed from the man's throat. You read that correctly, an 18cm fish!
The man spent a week in the hospital, and there was no serious damage to his throat.
The lesson here? Do not bite off more than you can chew!
