#ThankfulTuesday: Many KZN families left without water has us feeling...

Did you even realise the importance of water until you were left without it?
Loadshedding has become a somewhat of a normality for many South Africans.
As much as we are not delighted when we know we are about to have it, it's something that we can manage without with the alternative sources of energy made available to us.
But when it comes to water shedding... now that's a life line that we cannot do without!
Due to the recent #KZNFloods, there has been some stress on the reservoirs when it comes to damages and repairs.
So many homes have been left without water for more than a week now, with many of us having to buy water and also resort to visiting local hubs where water tankers have been situated.
It's safe to say, it's been a challenging time for KZN'ers.
Now, this has come due to the effects of the storm last week, but there have been parts of KZN that have been without water for months.
Just experiencing this for what can be deemed a minimal time frame, and having water intermittently provided so that everyone can be catered to, is one thing that we do not wish on anyone.

However much we feel for everyone who has been affected by the floods, we do believe it to be quite ironic that with so much rain came a shedding of water.
Perhaps this is the universe's way of bringing us back to the basics?
In the same way the pandemic forced us to spend more time with our families, and how the unrest made us appreciate our sense of community and sharing, this too has taught us to conserve water and be grateful that we have it..
