Were his priorities in order here?

We cannot imagine what it must feel like to not be able to prioritise your wedding over your job.

Because we believe that everyone should be able to shut down from work at some point or the other, especially on their wedding day.

But that was not the case for Sierra Leone football star Mohamed Buya Turay, who clearly was unable to be there for his special day with his bride.

And so he decided to ask his brother to step in for him. Say what now?!

Yes, that is exactly what happened, spare us the jokes.

Since Turay was set to sign a transfer deal with a new team the day after his wedding, he had to move to Sweden before then.

This left him with no other option than to ask his brother to stand in for him. Can we just say that standing in and standing up for someone at a wedding are two very different things...

According to News24, "Instead of postponing the wedding, Turay asked his brother to represent him as the groom at the wedding. The star spoke to a Swedish publication, Aftonbladet, about missing his big day, “We got married in July in Sierra Leone, but I wasn’t there because Malmo asked me to come earlier.”

Since his brother was there to represent him, we are still unsure as to what that means exactly. Like did he take the vows with the new Mrs Turay or what exactly does that mean?

The couple still haven't seen one another since before the wedding day (21 July, 2022).

Turay and his bride took their wedding photos prior to their wedding because he could not be there. So confusing!

And he has been recorded telling media that he will join his wife on their honeymoon once he wins the league title.

This guy really has his priorities in order... not!

Big superstar or not, no woman wants to feel like her man's job comes first, even if it entitles her to a life of luxury.

Or maybe we have our wires crossed and that's exactly what women want? Just kidding.
