We all know and love the Harry Potter franchise, from the first to the last, the immense imagination and suspense that came with each book left us feeling like we wanted to take an adventure into JK Rowling's mind...
She is also known for her inspirational life story, which has been a source of encouragement and motivation for many women who feel like they have reached their limits. She taught us that doing what you love can literally be your jackpot...
JK Rowling has released a new children's book that has all the makings of a life lesson, for both children and adults. Because we all know that the best place to learn life lessons is from children's books.
Some how we can reflect over the simplest of lessons that make the most impact on the bigger picture? JK Rowling shared some key insight into what she felt the book was about with the Sunday Times:
Being lost and being found, about loving and being loved, about what stays with us and what falls away. It’s also about hope and endurance.- JK Rowling
"'The Christmas Pig' was inspired by her son's favourite cuddly toy pig, which kept getting lost and then found. So she got him a second one that looked exactly like the original, if you are a parent then you will relate to this.
"Her son found the second pig though and declared him the brother. The original is tattered and torn but it got her thinking about the replacement. The lockdown proved to be fruitful for her as she wrote the book during this time, it was during this time that she found that she was unusually aware of the need for human connection." (MSN)
He was never loved the same way, never invested with the strange power we give beloved toys when we’re young. So one day I got thinking about that, about what it means to be a replacement.- JK Rowling
