School holidays mean it's time to clean your stomach

"Mom, ma, ma, mummy, mama..." We feel for you, baby girl...
If you are like many people in South Africa, the school holidays are a time for cleaning your stomach.
It is a tradition or perhaps a cultural normality to consume castor oil as a kid to clean out your tummy. Each family has its way of consuming this 'horrid' oil that doesn't taste good, but like we say to our kids nowadays, not all things that are good for you taste good.
Masking it with oranges gave the Castor Oil company the idea to infuse fruit flavours into the castor oil; we don't know if that made things better or worse. Kids are still afraid of drinking this concoction, regardless of its benefits.
A mother shared her experience with her kids after telling them it was time for medicine - castor oil. Her toddler, who doesn't look older than three, knew precisely what it was.
It was clear from the start that her elder child was not happy about the agenda of drinking custard laced with castor oil.
The video is quite lengthy, but it is worth the watch; over and above big sister's dramatic approach to drinking her castor oil custard, there was the big brother, who came in like a champion.
We also have to mention that mom said it best (we are certain all parents say or at least think this) when she said if her daughter ate sweets, it would go down very easily. She even revealed that her daughter swiped R180 at school for sweets! What now?!
