School boy knows lyrics to Indian-Amapiano remix
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We were slightly confused in the beginning, but it all came together in the end...
These days, we see teachers sharing a range of content while at school with their kids.
As much as we are not 100% behind teachers releasing footage online with children without their parents' permission, we are not here for that.
This time we are here to share the shock and surprise that many experienced after hearing a young school boy repeat a fusion Amapiano song word for word for his teacher and fellow classmates.
The teacher videoed the young man singing the song and, of course, there were parts that sounded familiar but at the same time, it sounded like he was just spitting out random words.
And then as he finished, the song started playing and it was revealed to all of us that he was singing an Indian-infused Amapiano song.
We must say, this is a great way to encourage the kids with their memory and learning, as well as building their confidence.
This is what teaching is all about, using a mix of tools to cater to the student and supporting and guiding them though their learning journey.

As we approach the Festival of Lights, we have to say that seeing kids' interest in music expand is truly such a groundbreaking revelation.
The fusion of different types of music is a true representation of what we are as South Africans.
Just in time to celebrate with each other during an auspicious time for many Indians across the world and in South Africa, Happy Diwali.
