Rory Petzer's take on the Springbok's new sponsor, FNB
Updated | By Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Executive Producer Rory Petzer received a "higher" grade pass on social media after the announcement that FNB is replacing MTN as the main Springboks sponsor.

We can always count on Rory Petzer to bring the house down with his sharp wit and unique spin on everything topical in South Africa.
With a way with words that
keeps audiences on their toes, he recently captured social media’s
attention with his take on the latest rugby sponsorship shake-up.
As First National Bank (FNB) steps in as the Springboks’ new main sponsor, Rory’s perspective had fans talking.
SA Rugby confirmed on Tuesday that the Springboks' sponsorship agreement with MTN has come to an end after eight years.
Mark Alexander, SA Rugby president, said, "MTN’s faith was truly inspiring when they first came on board during those dark days. Of course, rugby would grind to a halt without the unwavering support of our partners. MTN led the way in this regard, and we wish them every success in the future."
FNB was already on the back of the Springbok jersey, but now, as the headline sponsor, it will move to the front.
Rory wasted no time putting his signature comedic spin on the announcement, serving up a hilarious take on how this shift might influence the Boks' gameplay.
With his clever use of banking terminology and a "saucy" approach to content, he had South Africans in stitches.
It's no surprise he's been nominated for the 'Sauce of the Year Award' at the 12th Savanna Comics' Comedy Choice Awards. Want to show your support?
