Rory Petzer all set and ready to win at the Comics Choice Awards
Updated | By East Coast Radio
And just like that the awards ceremony has arrived...
If you didn't already know we think Executive Producer, Comedian, Content Creator, and Pet Dad, Rory Petzer is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
That's putting it lightly.
But you get the point, when someone who deserves to be recognised is acknowledged, we do cartwheels (in our minds). And if there is one person who deserves the recognition its Rory Petzer.
Just to have been recognised by my peers in the comedy industry and voted into this position as a Savanna Comics Choice Awards nominee means the world to me. To go on and win the award on Saturday night will be the cherry on top!- Rory Petzer
More than a month ago we found out about Rory's amazing nomination. He has been nominated in the category for the most UpLIFTing comedic content.
And we blinked and the time arrived. "The Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards stage is set and the industry is getting ready to announce, honour and celebrate this year’s winners at a glamorous black tie birthday celebration event at The Galleria in Sandton on 15 April 2023.
Along with each of the 10 winners, who will perform
five minutes of stand-up in lieu of an acceptance speech, some incredible
talent has been secured for the awards show.
The host for the evening, with four Comics’ Choice Awards and two Emmy
nominations under his belt, and possibly the tallest man in
comedy, will be Loyiso Gola.
We asked Rory how he was feeling and this is what he had to say.
I’m super excited for the event at Galleria in Sandton and especially for the Red Carpet experience. Dress code is ‘Birthday Black Tie’ and I’ll be serving exactly that! Paparazzi, get ready to snap away!- Rory Petzer
