PARENTING: This young adult is providing a loving home for neglected kids
“I just provide love and do things that they once hoped to do with their own parents.”
A young mother has stirred up some attention on TikTok with her very honest and open videos of being a parent to kids in her community who have been forgotten.
Tusaiwe Munkhondya started her own non-governmental organisation in 2018 as a refuge for children with special needs.
And today she has more than 34 children in her care. She is only 23-years-old, but provides her kids with the one thing she believes they have been denied - love.
Her videos show her adoptive kids who are as young as seven-months-old and as old as 20-years-old.
So safe to say she has left many people with many, many questions, with some never even considering that a 20-something-year-old could be a mother to so many children.
She uses TikTok to share her story and asks for support from people to help her help these kids.

Her life experience has moulded her into growing up quickly and as much as it has been traumatising for her, she has used her experience to help children like herself.

Not only has she thanked the many people who have helped her with the kids through her GoFundMe page, but she also has a support system in her community.
Other members of the community help with buying and preparing food, as well as helping care for the kids. Munkhondya has acquired land, which she hopes to build a home on for the kids, as currently they all reside in a three-bedroom house and it is crowded.
Her videos are fun and heartfelt, and we love what she is doing. It reminds us that sometimes it just takes having some patience and asking for help to make a difference in someone else's life.
