PARENTING: Pink criticises 14-year-old YouTuber's parents for exploiting her
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Pink doesn't hold back her true feelings about another mother's way of parenting her teen daughter...
As parents, we all have our own way of parenting. Our styles and methods may differ and sometimes they may be similar. But regardless, when it comes to parenting just like anything in life, it's important to be open minded and avoid the judgement card.
Because we would like to believe that everyone is doing the best they can within their set of circumstances. Ultimately, there isn't only one way of looking at things, but this is easier said than done.
Especially when you yourself are a parent and you see things that you feel are inappropriate. Pink recently took to her Twitter account and shared a tweet that has been causing some uproar.
Basically, she was questioning the parenting of the parents of Piper Rockelle, a 14-year-old social media influencer. This young girl has over 8.2-million subscribers on YouTube and around 4.8-million followers on Instagram.
How many kids like Piper Rockelle are being exploited by their parents? And at what point do the rest of us say … “this isn’t okay for a 13 yr old to be posing in a bikini whilst her MOTHER takes the photo?!?!”

Piper responded to Pink's tweet in an interview with the Insider.
"My mom doesn't make me do anything," Rockelle told Insider in an emailed statement provided by a representative. "In terms of me in swimsuits, it's summer! My friends and I live in the water." (MSN)
"Pictures of teenagers in bikinis having fun are not sexual," she said. "They're only sexual if you view us that way."
At first glance, it does seem like this young girl, whose social media accounts are being managed by family, is just about building her profile and doing something that she enjoys. But then when we opened up her Instagram account, we too were a bit surprised by some of the photos.
The thing is, as much as it can be said that Piper has a point, with the internet and social media in particular, things are far more easier to be construed the wrong way and the amount of sexual predators grow everyday.
Check out her photos below from her Instagram account and be honest, does she look like an innocent 14-year-old or does she look older and very much 'sexualised' in her posing and attire?

Tiffany Rockelle, Piper's mother, commented to a news source: "I'm just a mom like any other who loves her daughter and would do anything for her." (MSN)
When it comes to this kind of situation, it's no easy task parenting and finding a way that suits your family, most especially when everyone has an opinion on your parenting style. But the truth is that it's all well and good to be expressive, but there's also a way to approach things.
Perhaps Pink's approach was a bit harsh? As a mother to little girls, we can understand why she probably took it so personally, but sometimes just addressing something privately can be so impactful.
