PARENTING: Little boy nearly gets crushed by a fridge!
This is why we always scream out, "Be careful"...
As parents, we are well aware that sometimes kids can be on a path of wanting to be in full control. Of course, this is part of them growing up, but it's not always easy to let them be and learn on their own.
This incident was innocent enough but turned out to be dangerous and spine chilling in a matter of moments. There are parents who believe in the 'letting them learn on their own' approach and then there are those parents who want to keep their kids in a bubble...
Whichever parent you are, we believe that there should be a fair mix of the two. Kids will be kids, there's no doubt about that, but as parents we cannot live in fear. If we do, then what are we teaching our children? In many instances, it has been shared that parents pass on their fears onto their children.
And that's not fair nor is it necessary. But in the larger scheme of things, we have to be proactive in many situations as a parent.
This was one of those instances, when something that started off so innocently, turned out to be dangerous. This could have potentially ended badly if the staff at this restaurant and some of the patrons didn't act quickly.

Many people came to the comments section and joked about it, some even said that the kid deserved it, while others said that the restaurant needed to be more prepared and manage their premises to be more hazard free.

People will always have their opinions and we cannot stop that, but to the parents and non-parents who are sitting on their thrones in judgement, stop and assess how this could've happened to anyone.
As much as it was so shocking to watch, it is a real eye-opener for all of us, as parents and as caregivers. Sometimes things can go left and the circumstances can be so innocent. But we have to take note of our children, most especially when we are out in public, and when they are in our care.
Life is unpredictable and if there is one thing we took away from this story, it's that we cannot control everything around us. All we can do is be aware, be present, and learn from our experiences.
