Miss Universe Jamaica asked what qualities men like in women...
The question is absurd, of course, but Miss Universe Jamaica's answer was impeccable.
This month is dedicated to women, and we look forward to celebrating National Women's Day on 9 August 2024.
Women have had to fight many obstacles over centuries, and it hasn't always been easy, but we have many trailblazing heroines to look up to. Some have imprinted their marks on history books, while others walk around unnoticed but still make a difference.
One woman who truly impressed us recently is Rachel Silvera, the newly crowned Miss Universe Jamaica.
"Rachel Silvera was born in Windsor Castle, St. Mary, Jamaica. Rachel is a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and mental health awareness. Her journey from farm life to pharmacy studies at The University of Technology reflects her proactive approach to making a positive impact." (Instagram)
The top five went through a question-and-answer segment during the Miss Universe Jamaica finals last Sunday. Rachel Silvera was asked the most unusual question, "What qualities do men like in women?".
The crowd were just as surprised as the announcer who asked the question, but Ms. Silvera answered the question impeccably.

We are unsure whether this answer sealed the deal of her win, but we know it made an impression on us. Rachel Silvera was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica and will represent Jamaica at the 73rd Miss Universe competition, which will be held in November 2024 in Mexico.
