Man who stole a car with a child in the back returns to lecture the mother

Mothers and fathers can be targets for unsolicited parenting advice, but some words of wisdom carry more weight than others...
Sometimes people will give you their unwanted opinion or input.

Parents tend to have a great deal of this as other parents, or even individuals who don't have children, chime in and tell you what you should be doing differently or what you are doing wrong.
Mothers, who should really try and support one another, even have to be afraid of mom-shaming!

While some advice can be helpful and much-needed, the source of the information also plays a role in whether the recipient is going to listen to the guidance given or not.
A grandmother giving her daughter tips on feeding might be received better than when a male stranger wants to chime in with some "knowledge".

According to the New York Post, that's exactly what happened when a carjacker got more than he bargained for.
In Beaverton, Oregon, a mother was making a casual trip to the grocery store when her car was stolen.
As she quickly popped out to buy some milk and meat, she left her car unlocked with her baby in the backseat.

Unfortunately, when she returned both had disappeared.
Luckily the thief had somewhat of a good heart as he quickly realised there was a child in the car and decided to return the baby to the mother.
But not before giving her a piece of his mind.

The local authorities say that the thief happened to walk by, noticed that the car was open, and just hopped in.
While driving away, he saw the four-year-old, did a quick U-turn, and returned the child.

However, he then proceeded to scold the mother and give her a lecture on parenting, before threatening to call the police on HER!
What makes this situation even more ridiculous is that the criminal then ordered the mom to take her child before driving off with the car again.

Of course, everyone, especially the mother, is incredibly relieved that the thief safely reunited mother and child.
There's not much a person can say except:
This is probably a one-in-a-million situation and is not the norm, so this is your daily reminder to LOCK YOUR CAR!
