Little Ofori tells mom all about his first day at big school
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Day one, done and dusted...

As many parents sigh a big sigh of relief after day one, we wanted to share the excitement and joy of this special day. Carol Ofori's son started 'big school' this year and this is not just any ordinary thing for a parent.
Going into grade one is a big deal. It essentially marks the start of your little one's official schooling career. It also leaves some tear stains, not always from the child's side, but from mom and dad (You don't have to feel embarrassed, we get it!).
Take a listen to the Ofori's early morning school drop-off from yesterday...
On Wednesday, Carol and her husband had such a lovely first day at big school experience. From the meeting of the teachers to the way their son tackled his first day, it all just felt right as rain.
So when it was time for pick up, she said that she was eager to find out how the day went. Firstly, she said she got a bit lost when it came to finding the pick up area for the aftercare area of the school.
No biggie, she found her way to him. He didn't have much to say, just that he had a wonderful time at school. He made a new friend (that's a huge win) and doesn't remember the other friends that he played with.
How you know the day was a success, is definitely when you hear that your child made a friend and says he wants to go back. Mission successful...
Good job, Ofori family!
