As we hear about the ongoing attacks on Ukraine from Russia, and the strict warnings from Putin to other countries not to get involved, it leaves a bad taste in our mouths.
Are we really in a space where we cannot put the needs of the people first. Is it about ego and propagandist views more than the safety and well-being of humanity? As upsetting as this is, we cannot even imagine what the people of Ukraine or Russia for that matter are going through...
So Carol Ofori reached out to KZN listeners asking them if they were from the Ukraine, and we heard from Nikki de Villiers. She sent a voice note sharing that she works for a billionaire in Ukraine and has been unable to go back since two weeks ago.
