LISTEN: DJ Tira responds to KZN December events shutting down

The KZN government recently announced that it would be canceling all major events in the province over this year's festive season.
In case you missed it, the KZN government has announced that in an effort to curb the growing amount of COVID-19 cases in the province, they will be pulling the plug on any big events that were set to take place over the next month.

Not only are locals very disappointed, but event organisers, artists, and other parts of the entertainment industry are now having to adapt to this news.
Although the news is understandable, many in various industries were hoping to use this time to recover from the impact the initial lockdown had and will be feeling the effects of this setback.

One of the many events that have now had to make a plan B is 'Fact is Durban Rocks' which was founded by record producer DJ Tira.
The show, set to take place on the 31st of December, has been one of Durban's biggest events and has been a staple in the local entertainment calendar.

He has released an official statement addressing what steps will be taken to ensure the event continues as planned, while abiding to the new regulations.

DJ Tira also called on the government to support artists whose livelihoods will be affected by this ban as well as supporting small businesses who are dependent on events during this time.
The current line-up for the event, which is set to take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, includes some of the biggest names in music and incredible local talents such as Master KG, Babes Wodumo, Sun-El Musician, DJ Simmy, Shimza, and many many more.
